Michael Pooley

CEO

As CEO, Michael leads PPR’s team of consultants across six offices in Australia and New Zealand to deliver effective strategies and campaigns that connect brands and businesses with the communities they need to reach. An experienced strategic communications consultant, Michael builds corporate and consumer brands, delivers crisis and issues management and works with business leaders to develop thought leadership positions. Michael has devised integrated communication campaigns across multiple sectors including airlines, forestry and personal finance, and offers clients evidence-based strategic advice combining creative execution to deliver effective communication campaigns. Michael has spent 20 years in the UK and Australia advising global brands including McDonald’s, Dell, Woolworths, Emirates, and Subway.

Lee McLean

QLD Market Leader

Lee has 30 years’ experience in communications strategy and has been with PPR for more than 10 years. She takes a very hands-on role with clients with direct responsibility for communications strategy development, workshop facilitation, issues and crisis management, media training and campaign management. Lee is a PPR media trainer conducting multiple media training programs and is also a strong facilitator conducting regular strategy workshops for clients.

Jane Witcombe

Senior Account Director/ Team Leader, WA

Jane has over eight years of experience in public relations and communications. Originally from Canberra, she began her career within the Federal Government, working across media and campaign teams to support high-profile government initiatives, most notably the launch of the National Broadband Network (NBN) rollout. Jane has also worked in the not-for-profit sector, managing marketing and communications for Carers NSW, as well as lead PR activities for aged care provider Bethanie Group and children’s charity Variety WA. With a passion for hospitality and tourism, Jane has directed PR campaigns for brands like Hilton, Mercure, Jesters and Honeywell, along with large-scale consumer events such as Taste of Perth and the Good Food and Wine Show.

Pamela Klioufis

Business Director / Market Leader NSW

As Managing Director, Pamela Klioufis is responsible for the firm’s business operations in Australia. Since joining Burson-Marsteller in 2012, Pamela has worked across a wide range of client industries and business sectors, leading the firm’s corporate and brand positioning offering. Pamela has been instrumental in achieving stand out results for clients such as the ATO, Queensland Treasury and Trade, Huawei Technologies, Tourism Australia and Accenture. Pamela led the team that designed and delivered the Queensland Government’s Strong Choices campaign to support its effort in reducing debt and addressing the issue of assets sales and leasing. This campaign was awarded Public Affairs Asia’s gold standard as the best government campaign in Asia in 2015 and the Global Top10 COMM PRIX award. At the centre of the campaign was an Australian first - a custom designed interactive tool that gave people insight into the Budget process by responsively showing the impact of 52 options to significantly increase taxes, reduce services or sell or lease some assets. The Strong Choices campaign leveraged custom designed and created campaign materials to raise awareness of Queensland’s financial position, with more than 70,000 Queenslanders participating through the People’s Budget interactive digital tool. The campaign is widely regarded as a best practice example of community engagement and was referenced in The Australian (12 June 2014) as a benchmark campaign for Australian Governments Throughout her career, Pamela has had the privilege of working with some of the world’s leading brands and corporations in a wide range of sectors including government, technology, FMCG, banking and financial services, automobile and aviation. Prior to joining Burson-Marsteller, Pamela managed her own public relations consulting firm, Estoria Communications, providing high level strategic counsel and crisis management to clients across the Asia Pacific region. A University of Technology Sydney graduate, Pamela holds a Masters degree in Communication Management with a major in issues management.

Tom Horn

Business Director / Market Leader NSW

Associate Director  Tom specialises in working with organisations to develop communications programs that build positive corporate reputations, and limit the impact of potentially damaging events. His experience branches sustainability, FMCG, technology, financial services, retail, energy  and healthcare. He has worked with a variety of companies - from global organisations  through to fast-growth start-ups, helping each to build and manage their reputation in a way  that connects powerfully with the audiences and stakeholders that will ultimately contribute  to their overall success. Some of the brands Tom has worked with include Mastercard, Nespresso, Bupa,  ExxonMobil, Capital One, Nivea for Men, Paramount Home Entertainment, First Drinks,  Toyota and IBM, among others. Tom recently returned to Australia after spending ten years in London as a communications  consultant.

Annike Morgan

Business Director / Market Leader NSW

Director of Marketing Communications Annike has spent the last 15 years connecting brands with their audiences and providing specialist expertise in marketing communications. In the past 11 years, Annike’s time at PPR has created integrated campaigns both within Australia and internationally, managing all facets of communications – including launching numerous consumer-driven and community initiatives. Annike’s expertise lies in identifying and fulfilling a variety of integrated media partnerships for PPR’s partners. Her understanding places clients in an enviable position to maximise investment and seamlessly integrate their ATL and BTL activity - ensuring owned, earned and bought platforms come together in a cohesive and successful manner to reach target organisations and consumers. Her high level media contacts are also spread widely across the mainstream retail, FMCG. lifestyle, sports, arts and consumer categories. She has also won an Australian Society of Travel Writers Campaign Award for her work with South African Tourism.
