Pamela Klioufis

Chief Executive Officer

Pamela Klioufis is Chief Executive Officer of BCW Australia & New Zealand, and in this role is responsible for the entity’s business operations in the two countries. In 2019, BCW Australia merged with sister agency PPR AUNZ to become BCW Australia & New Zealand, with Pamela appointed head of the combined entity across Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane and Auckland. Pamela first joined Burson-Marsteller (now BCW) in 2012 and has since worked across a wide range of client industries and business sectors, leading the firm’s corporate and brand positioning offering. As a strategic consultant, Pamela combines big-picture thinking with research and trend driven insights, to inform and create innovative and effective communications strategies that manage brand reputations and deliver on business objectives. Pamela has been instrumental in achieving stand out results for clients such as Huawei Technologies, Singapore Airlines, Department of Defence, Tourism Australia and Accenture. Having worked in high level international business and political environments, Pamela has advised clients on a wide range of public affairs and government issues including major transport incidents, activist or union campaigns, industrial accidents, regulatory compliance, litigation, competitor actions, corporate downsizing, product liability, and product and resource contamination. Throughout her career, Pamela has had the privilege of working with some of the world’s leading brands and corporations in a wide range of sectors including government, technology, FMCG, banking and financial services, automobile and aviation. Prior to joining Burson-Marsteller, Pamela managed her own public relations consulting firm, Estoria Communications, providing high level strategic counsel and crisis management to clients across the Asia Pacific region. A University of Technology Sydney graduate, Pamela holds a Masters degree in Communication Management with a major in issues management.​

Carla Vanner

Business Director

Carla Vanner brings more than twenty years of public relations and corporate communications experience to the role of business director at BCW. Having worked in the construction and infrastructure sector and advised telecommunications companies, Carla has worked on a wide range of issues including environmental contamination, industrial accidents, suicide and accidental fatalities on worksites, regulatory compliance, litigation and corporate downsizing. A skilled media trainer, Carla was recently hired by Bloomberg TV to deliver the ‘Bloomberg New Voices’ program, which taught female executives how to be effective ‘talent’ on the organisation’s global television platform. Prior to joining BCW, Carla spent six years working client-side in senior communication roles, including time with News Corp Australia and Australia’s largest property and construction business, Lendlease. She also developed the brand, marketing and external communications function for tier one construction start-ups Roberts Pizzarotti (Australia) and Roberts Constructions (Middle East). Carla spent the first fifteen years of her career working in some of Sydney's leading public relations agencies, including an eleven-year association with opr Group. Her clients included Canon, Telstra Enterprise & Government, Business Events Australia (Tourism Australia), Vodafone, Microsoft, Coca Cola, Bankwest, Qantas and LG Electronics. She attained a Bachelor of Arts (Communication) from Charles Sturt University and was the Esso Scholarship winner.

Tom Horn

Director of Corporate

Tom specialises in working with organisations to develop communications programs that build positive corporate reputations, and limit the impact of potentially damaging events. His experience branches sustainability, FMCG, technology, financial services, retail, energy  and healthcare. He has worked with a variety of companies - from global organisations  through to fast-growth start-ups, helping each to build and manage their reputation in a way  that connects powerfully with the audiences and stakeholders that will ultimately contribute  to their overall success. Some of the brands Tom has worked with include Mastercard, Nespresso, Bupa,  ExxonMobil, Capital One, Nivea for Men, Paramount Home Entertainment, First Drinks,  Toyota and IBM, among others. Tom recently returned to Australia after spending ten years in London as a communications  consultant.

Jane Witcombe

New Zealand team lead

Jane has over eight years of experience in public relations and communications. Originally from Canberra, she began her career within the Federal Government, working across media and campaign teams to support high-profile government initiatives, most notably the launch of the National Broadband Network (NBN) rollout. Jane has also worked in the not-for-profit sector, managing marketing and communications for Carers NSW, as well as lead PR activities for aged care provider Bethanie Group and children’s charity Variety WA. With a passion for hospitality and tourism, Jane has directed PR campaigns for brands like Hilton, Mercure, Jesters and Honeywell, along with large-scale consumer events such as Taste of Perth and the Good Food and Wine Show.

Lee McLean

General Counsel

Lee has 30 years’ experience in communications strategy and has been with PPR for more than 10 years. She takes a very hands-on role with clients with direct responsibility for communications strategy development, workshop facilitation, issues and crisis management, media training and campaign management. Lee is a PPR media trainer conducting multiple media training programs and is also a strong facilitator conducting regular strategy workshops for clients.
