CLIENT: Sanitarium PROGRAM: 2009 Weet-Bix Tryathlon Series
The New Zealand Marketing Communications team has just wrapped up their work on the 2009 Weet-Bix Tryathlon Series. This year almost 19,000 Kiwi kids participated in a Tryathlon event, successfully breaking the record for being the largest children’s sporting event in the world.
Eleven Tryathlon events were held throughout New Zealand, seven of which received a record number of entries into the event for their region. Prime Minister John Key attended the final event, held in New Plymouth, to celebrate the success of the 2009 Series.
Media highlights included receiving coverage on the front page of The New Zealand Herald, and on TV1 and TV3 national news programmes.
