PPR open for business in AdelaideJune 2008 has seen further expansion of the PPR office network in Australasia with the opening of the new PPR Adelaide office. The office will be directed locally by Dena Vassallo who will take on the role of Group Account Director, Adelaide. Dena joins PPR from Edelman in Chicago where she was Vice President of Consumer Marketing. Jeremy Wrench, General Manager Victoria, South Australia & Tasmania, commented that having a dedicated presence in Adelaide further enables localised market cut-through in the region delivering immediate benefit to a significant number of existing national client programs. The office also directly extends the availability of Australasia's most comprehensive PR network to South Australian business for the first time. PPR Wellington opens its doorsIn April 2008 PPR expanded its network, adding Wellington in New Zealand to its list of offices in Australasia and Asia. Although PPR has operated in the Wellington environment from Auckland for many years, we have long recognised the advantage of having our own office in the New Zealand capital. PPR Wellington has been created through a strategic alliance with well established Morris Communications, based in the centre of the city. Bob Wallace, National Director with PPR New Zealand, who forged the deal with Gerry Morris, principal of Morris Communications, says the arrangement will bring significant advantages to PPR, providing us with easier access to government. In the local environment the office will initially be known as Morris-Professional Public Relations. This will allow PPR to retain the value of the Morris Communications name, which is highly regarded in the Wellington market. Angela Spain, General Manager of PPR’s Auckland office sees immediate business growth prospects that can be developed. There will be an immediate focus on building joint business between the offices.
