Top Ryde City

PPR was engaged to open one of Sydney’s newest major shopping centres – Top Ryde City – over 15 months as stages reached completion.

The Top Ryde City program was designed to engage residents with the catchment, drive traffic to the centre for the opening and onwards, instil a sense of pride in the community, and position Top Ryde City as a one-stop shopping, dining and entertainment destination.

PPR implemented a creative, all inclusive community project around Top Ryde City that gave the centre opportunities for further dialogue with shoppers. The ‘Faces of Top Ryde’ initiative saw more than 1,000 locals photographed for the launch – attracting people into the centre and promoting the diversity of people and shopping provided by the centre.

Prime Minister Julia Gillard attended the official opening – along with Jennifer Hawkins for Myer – on the day before the Federal Election in August 2010. PPR achieved significant coverage for the launch, with the program as a whole positioning the centre as the premiere destination for shopping in Sydney’s north-west.
