Peter Harris 
Chief Operating Officer, West

Peter is a highly experienced communications practitioner with more than 25 years experience in media, government and corporate affairs.

He provides strategic public affairs advice covering all facets of media and investor relations, issues and crisis management and government and community relations.

He is an award-winning newspaper journalist and served as a Media Adviser in the Court Coalition Government from 1995 to 1998, before joining PPR in March 1998.

He was promoted to Manager, Public Relations in 2001, appointed General Manager of PPR WA in 2002 and has been the Managing Director of PPR WA since 2005, with responsibility for more than 40 staff. During this time, he has overseen the expansion of the Perth office into the largest public relations consultancy in Western Australia with a dedicated offering for investor relations and digital communications.

When consulting, Peter has provided strategic counsel to a range of PPR clientele including LandCorp, Chevron Australia, PTTEP Australasia, Exxon Mobil and Emirates.

 



Nicole Moody 
General Manager 

Nicole has 20 years experience across the fields of journalism, government and public relations for the private and public sectors both in Western Australia and in London.

Since joining PPR in 2006, Nicole has managed several key accounts, including LandCorp, Murdoch University, HBF and Brightwater Group.

She has extensive experience in developing and implementing strategic public relations and marketing campaigns, issues management, government relations, media relations and event management.

Nicole is highly skilled in crisis management, playing a leading role in the strategy development of community and media relations surrounding the PTTEP oil spill in the Timor Sea. 

She also has Ministerial and State Government agency experience, and a detailed knowledge of protocol and government operations. As a former newspaper and television journalist, Nicole posesses a strong working knowledge of the media.

Nicole is the winner of several State and national Public Relations Institute of Australia awards for her work on PPR client campaigns.

 



Carla Shearman 
Group Director - Corporate  

Carla Shearman is one of Western Australia’s leading public relations professionals.

An experienced strategist and issue management specialist, she is passionate about using progressive, accountable and measurable communication to influence and inspire.

Carla is skilled at working with individuals or as part of planning and implementation teams on large projects and campaigns with a diversity of challenges, stakeholders and communication requirements.

In her role as Group Director at PPR, Carla oversees a division of 15 corporate communication consultants and provides comprehensive advice to a range of clients including LandCorp, Brightwater Care Group, Murdoch University and HBF. 

Prior to joining PPR, Carla was General Manager of Rowland’s business advisory operations in Western Australia (2007-2009) and Managing Director of her own successful firm - Shearmans PR - for 12 years where she provided high-level strategic communication counsel and business development to both public and private sector clients.

 



David Tasker 
National Director, Investor Relations  

David is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities and strategic national roll-out of our Investor Relations division. 

He heads the Australasia IR team working on more than clients, including those in the manufacturing, resources, property and financial services sectors. 
He directly manages national and international media relations, government relations and investor relations for a range of corporate clients; including Cape Lambert Iron Ore, Cauldron Energy, Baosteel Group, Australasian Resources, Port Bouvard Limited, Mega Uranium, Monadelphous Limited and Mineral Resources Limited.

He has extensive experience in public relations with a strong background in investor relations, media relations, government relations, sponsorship management, and community liaison.
Prior to joining PPR David spent two years working in the United Kingdom on a number of high profile projects and also with the AFL Fremantle Football Club for six years.

 



Samantha Bremner 
Group Director - Consumer

 
Sam Bremner heads PPR’s dynamic Consumer division in Western Australia.   Under her leadership, this creative and experienced team focuses on raising and stepping outside its comfort zone to exceed client expectations. 

Sam has extensive experience in planning and implementing communication strategies for a broad range of clients including Emirates, HBF, LandCorp, McDonald’s, Coke, Midland Brick, Australand, Red Bull Air Race, Chevron, Westfield, Bunnings, Abigroup, Mrs Mac’s, Perth Fashion Festival, Forrest Chase, Lotterywest and Georgiou. 

Her strategic approach goes beyond traditional media relations, with tactics including social media, interactive sponsorship, community engagement and events employed to deliver optimum communication and relationship building outcomes. 

Sam understands the importance of working closely with clients to clearly identify their objectives and respond with the right blend of counsel and tactical activity to position, engage and influence.  

 



Gary Knights

Digital Creative Director 

Gary has been in the digital space for over 13 years, working as a Digital Creative Director for various organisations in that time. He has a real passion for digital communication and marketing, utilising the latest tools and strategies to ensure the best possible outcome and ROI are achieved. 

He has delivered on various digital strategies from websites, EDM Campaigns, Banner Campaigns, SEO, SEM and Social Media. His ability to fully understand the brand and brand values of a particular client has seen these strategies reach their full potential in the online medium. 

Gary has also over 20 years experience as a graphic designer producing design solutions for annual reports, brochures, leaflets, logo brands, advertising, posters and stationery.

 



Mike Marren 
Senior Counsel 

Mike Marren has been a communications practitioner for nearly 30 years, working as a journalist, government media advisor and public relations consultant.

He joined PPR in 2005 and has provided strategic government relations advice across the client base, specialising in internal and external communications for the oil and gas sector including Chevron Australia, the Australian Marine Complex, the Gorgon Project and ConocoPhillips Australasia.

Mike has worked on key PPR campaigns including providing strategic advice to the taskforce that investigated Perth’s future sporting stadium options and assisted with the development of communications plans for the Forest Products Commission, Kailis and the Department of Fisheries.

Before joining PPR, he spent four years with the State Government Media Office as a media adviser to the Hon Kim Chance, gaining a detailed knowledge of government operations and protocol and parliamentary procedure.

Mike’s experience includes 15 years as a journalist in a range of roles including editor of two award-winning regional newspapers. He has a Bachelor of Arts (English) majoring in Journalism.

 



Errol Considine 
Senior Counsel
 

Errol Considine is one of Western Australia’s most experienced and awarded public relations strategists. 

He specialises in issues and crisis management and providing strategic communications counsel at the Chairman and CEO level of major organisations. He has extensive experience in developing and implementing community relations, investor relations, government relations and sponsorship development and leveraging programs. 

In 2009/10, he led the crisis communications response team for the Montara oil spill in the Timor Sea, which generated worldwide media coverage.

His corporate roles have included managing public affairs for a former Perth-based global conglomerate and leading the corporate communications team for the State’s largest financial institution during a period of unprecedented PR challenges and historic structural change.

Errol has earned a reputation as one of WA’s foremost media training experts. He was a highly-regarded senior journalist, with extensive experience in newspapers in Australia and South Africa and television broadcasting in Australia and the UK. His positions have included Director of News, Nine Network Perth.

 



Ian Williams 

Senior Counsel 

More than 25 years experience with dealing with media at all levels means Ian Williams has an intimate understanding of the specialised needs of its many segments.

Ian has a Bachelor of Business majoring in Communications from the Queensland University of Technology and a Graduate Diploma of Tourism Marketing from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

Having worked on a national and international stage in the aviation, hotel and resorts, property and tourism industries, Ian brings a wealth of experience to PPR’s corporate clients.
